The Smart Scoop by Breville is the first ice cream maker that automatically senses the hardness of the mixture based on your selection. You can choose up to 12 hardness settings- for sorbet, frozen yogurt, gelato & ice cream. Features include a self-refrigerating compressor that keeps the ingredients cool for up to 3 hours. To get things started, a pre-cool option/button will speed-up the process. Once all ingredients are poured into the bowl, it will take up to 50 minutes to make delicious homemade ice cream. Customize any recipe by adding your favorite fruit or chocolate to your mixture 3 to 5 minutes before the ice cream process is done. Once the process is finished a sound button will notify you; choose between high, low, musical tune or mute if you prefer.
