Here's how it works: turn the switch to the ON position and the temperature will appear on the display. The temperature sensor is located in the lower 1/4-in. of the stem. For the most accurate results, place the stem at least 1/2-in. into the food. Turn the switch to the OFF position when finished to conserve the battery life.
Meat should be allowed to rest for 10 to 15 minutes after it is removed from the oven. This allows time for the meat's internal temperature to stabilize and the juices to redistribute. This will result in a roast that is both juicier and easier to carve. Make sure never to leave the thermometer in the food while cooking. Also it is important never to immerse the thermometer head in water while cleaning. Always be sure to clean the thermometer stem before inserting it into the food. The head of the thermometer has a flat edge to prevent it from rolling off the counter. Five year limited warranty.
