The Chroma Haiku Slicing Knife is ideal for slicing thin cuts of meat, poultry, roasts, hams, and other large cooked meats. A slicing knife is much thinner than a chef's knife, enabling it to carve thinner, more precise slices. The sharp blade is constructed of molybdenum vanadium stainless steel with a X50 Cr 54 Rockwell hardness. The blade is sharpened, polished, and mounted with a natural Honoki wood handle and meguki bamboo pin inserted into the side of the handle, as in the ancient process of the Samurai-sword. Hand washing recommended with warm soapy water. Made in Japan.
