Cronidur was designed for Zwilling J.A. Henckels by Milan-based designer and architect Matteo Thun. His design focuses on both form and function. The sigmaforge blade features an exclusive high-performance steel called Cronidur 30. This steel is used in the aerospace technology because of the hardness of the steel and is highly corrosion resistant, Rockwell Hardness of 60. The blade undergoes an extra step called Friodur; ice-hardening process. This process enhances the quality & properties of the steel.
