Cronidur was designed for Zwilling J.A. Henckels by Milan-based designer and architect Matteo Thun. His design focuses on both form and function. The sigmaforge blade features an exclusive high-performance steel called Cronidur 30. This steel is used in the aerospace technology because of the hardness of the steel and is highly corrosion resistant, Rockwell Hardness of 60. The blade undergoes an extra step called Friodur; ice-hardening process. This process enhances the quality & properties of the steel. The unique wedge-shaped blade delivers optimum stability with a full cutting edge. The blade is complimented by a comfortable micarta handle made of a special resin & linen composition. Micarta is distinguished by its fine wood grain design. Cronidur offers high performance & beauty. Made in Germany by Zwilling J.A. Henckels since 1731, lifetime warranty.
