The Mauviel M'steel Carbon Steel Wok is ideal for preparing sizzling Hunan beef, spicy green beans, and more. The M'steel collection is constructed of durable commercial grade black carbon steel. Carbon steel shares the same concept & features as a cast iron fry pan- withstanding very high temperatures, perfect for searing sealing in flavors & nutrients and allows longer pre-heating, if needed. M'steel can be used on all cooktops including induction and metal utensils are safe to use. Prior to use, seasoning is required by simply taking a paper towel and wiping the interior of the pan with a non-flavored cooking oil, once this is done place the pan on the stove and heat the pan. When the oil liquefies turn the heat off and repeat the process a second time. After this process, the pan will acquire a natural nonstick property. For cleaning, hand wash with hot water immediately after use and wipe with paper towel, store in a dry place. Made in France.
