This translucent Arkansas stone is used for honing. The #900 grit will place a very sharp edge, near mirror finish on to the knife blade. This replacement stone will fit the Norton 3-way multi-stone sharpening system, model IM313. Place a light coating of oil over the sharpening stone surface and you are ready to go.
