Did a significant amount of reading and review of kitchen knives. I did not care about the cost. I chose the 3 MAC knife set based on the reviews treat these are the sharpest knives out of the box one can buy. That is what I was hunting for. Took the plunge. Love this set of knives. If I had to do it over I would have bought the foul 4 knife set with the knife wood block.

I am pleased how easy this is to use and how quickly it sharpens my knives. I even bought one for my sister after I used mine.
