Shun pronounced "shoon" in Japanese, means- "at the peak of perfection". Each knife is handmade by skilled specialists and requires at least 100 handcrafted steps to complete one knife. Shun Reserve knives feature a SG2 steel core that is incredibly hard & dense. The SG2 steel also offers unmatched edge retention for an unparalleled length of time. The 32-layered Damascus ladder design is made of nickel silver/stainless steel. Each Shun knife provides a Japanese blade angle of 16 degrees.
