To fill the grinders, the circular depression on the side is a hole in a band that encircles the grinder. Turn it sideways and it will reveal the loading hole. You can adjust the grinding coarseness on all our mills. There is a thumbscrew on the bottom of all our mills except the Minimill. Turn the thumbscrew clockwise for a finer grind , counter clockwise for a coarser grind. The Minimill's thumbscrew is found on the top of the mill. There is no need to clean the interior of the mills. Use Windex or Fantastic and paper towel to clean the exterior. Our grinders are not filled with pepper or salt, however are available here. Make sure never to put pepper in your salt mill - the pepper will corrode the steel and vise-versa.
