The All-Clad Universal Double Boiler Insert easily nests in All-Clad sauce pans and casseroles with an 8" diameter. Ideal for preparing items on indirect heat, such as melting chocolates or preparing cream-based desserts and sauces. It can also be used to reheat foods that may change in consistency or flavor when applied to direct heat. <em>Please note that this insert is not an ideal fit for Copper Core sauce pans with an 8" diameter.</em>

    Worked well.

    I make my pudding using a double boiler. Worked well. No burning. Pudding came out creamy. Wish it was 18/10 stainless though. This is not noted on the product.

    Fit my pot well.

    Quality Double Boiler

    I have a set of All-Clad Stainless pans and this double boiler fits in several of my pans. I use this double boiler for delicate buerre blanc sauces and for melting chocolate. It is a nice size and works perfectly
