Description
The Mauviel M'steel collection is constructed of durable commercial grade black carbon steel. Carbon steel shares the same concept & features as a cast iron fry pan- withstanding very high temperatures, perfect for searing sealing in flavors & nutrients and allows longer pre-heating, if needed. M'steel can be used on all cooktops including induction and metal utensils are safe to use. Prior to use, seasoning is required by simply taking a paper towel and wiping the interior of the pan with a non-flavored cooking oil, once this is done place the pan on the stove and heat the pan. When the oil liquefies turn the heat off and repeat the process a second time. After this process, the pan will acquire a natural nonstick property. For cleaning, hand wash with hot water immediately after use and wipe with paper towel, store in a dry place.
