Description

The Wusthof Classic Hollow Edge Slicing Knife has a long, narrow blade and rounded tip which allows the knife to cleanly slice through meats and guide it away from the bone. The hollow edge contains evenly spaced vertical indentations that create small air pockets between the blade and the food. These small air pockets gently push food off the blade and reduce the friction and drag when slicing. The straight edge offers a smooth, clean and exact cut.<br /><br />Wusthof Classic full-tang knives are precision forged from a single piece of exclusive Wusthof high-carbon stainless steel. The handle design is made of a highly durable synthetic material known as Polyoxymethylene (POM), which features a tighter molecular structure to resist fading and discoloration. Each Wusthof Classic knife features a computer controlled cutting edge to ensure the final edge of the blade is precise and uniform from the tip to the heel. The Wusthof PEtec angle and tapered cutting edge reduces drag when slicing foods, allowing for seamless and effortless cutting. Each knife blade is completely buffed and polished by hand. Wusthof Classic knives are made in Solingen, Germany with a lifetime warranty.

    Really good slicing knife

    I've only used this a few times but so far it is great. Even slicing, super sharp, and well-balanced. Wusthof knives are the best. Wish they made a filet knife in the Classic series.

    Great slicer

    this knife is great for slicing homemade bacon,flank steak for jerky, to make chops out of a pork loin and many other tasks.I have only had it for about two months but use it a lot and it holds an edge very well.

    Great knife for slicing very thin slices.

    Bought this knife for carving roasts. Surprised at the lightness of the knife, but it does a fine job of carving prime rib, rack of lamb, etc.
