This was a Christmas gift to ourselves and we are so glad we took the plunge. They feel great in the hand and perform beautifully. I expect that these will be the last knives we will ever need (aside from the boning knife that I plan to add to the set).

My wife and I love to cook for ourselves and to entertain friends and guests. We had languished for twenty years with inferior and unsafe cutlery, having cut ourselves several times trying to compensate for dull and poorly designed knives. We waited, saved and researched websites and talked to users, finally settling of the 9-knife Pro knives. We couldn't be more satisfied.

Our set arrived as promised and in excellent condition. The bamboo block is convenient to our preparation area and easily viewed (and admired) by kitchen guests. The cutlery has performed brilliantly, and we are especially glad we opted for the pro design with the smooth bolster. The finish and balance are great with no manufacturing flaws or defects.

As a bonus, we enjoyed a promotional discounted price for the set. We fully expect to invest in 1-2 additional specialty knives (boning, carving) to fill our beautiful block and provide the incremental utility we find we need. Our son, also an avid cook, has seen and used the knives and has asked us to bequeath the set to him in our estate planning. I have every faith that the knives may well outlive us both, so we would be delighted to turn them over to someone who will appreciaate, enjoy and care for them.
